- Plan out your meals and snacks for the week and stick to the plan.
- If you order an entree from a restaurant that is typically cooked in a sauce, ask for it on the side instead and don't use all of it.
- Use honey instead of sugar.
- Use shallots to add flavor.
- If you use salt, use sea salt sparingly.
- Use olive oil instead of butter.
- Lemon adds great flavor instead of salt.
- Ask for your dressing on the side at restaurants and don't use it all.
- Go easy on the free bread or chips. Limit yourself and don't just eat them mindlessly.
- If you must have cheese, use mozzarella made with part skim milk.
